How to change the automatic guide voice

Every processed song has a Guide track that announces sections such as intro, verse, chorus, bridge, and solo. You can change the language and voice used by that automatic guide — for example, choose Lily instead of another Portuguese voice.

This does not create or edit a custom guide. It changes the voice of the built-in announcements and countdowns for the song.

Change the voice

  1. Open the song in the player.
  2. Find the Guide track in the track list.
  3. In the upper-right corner of that track, click the globe and language label, such as PT-BR.
  4. The menu groups voices by language. Choose the language and voice you want, such as Lily.

The guide reloads with the selected voice. Use the play button next to a voice in the menu to hear a preview before choosing it.

What changes

  • The selected language and voice apply to this song's automatic section announcements and countdowns.
  • The language and voice also become your defaults for new songs you process.
  • Older songs can show a Legacy option. It keeps that song's original guide samples; choose one of the listed voices to switch the song to the newer voice set.

Automatic guide or custom guide?

Use the Guide track voice selector when you want to change the voice that says the standard section names and counts.

Use a custom guide when you want the voice to say your own words at a specific point in a song. Custom guides have their own voice list, so a voice available for automatic-guide playback may not be available when creating a new custom guide.
